Win and I are busy getting ready for our BIG, CRAZY, October Orchid Event. Our event will kick off this Saturday October 26 at 10:15am in the Oxmill Tent at The Landing Beach Bar on Cane Bay with Tom presenting a 45” educational discussion and workshop on Catasetum orchids including a repotting demonstration of a Catasetum that is just emerging from its dormancy period. Tom will explain why he thinks Catasineae orchids are among the best overlooked orchid genera and he hopes to make them a bit less intimidating to our orchid friends on St. Croix. EZ Greens Orchids will give away a bare root Dendrobium orchid to one our the educational program attendees.
Following Tom’s talk, we will have many, many, many blooming and non blooming, potted, mounted and bare root orchids available for purchase.
Yesterday, Win and I sent time sorting and arranging the beautiful orchids we received in our first shipment. Today we will unpack our 2nd shipment of orchids fresh from Hawaii…an entire box full of healthy, robust, beautiful bare root Dendrobiums. Our wholesaler packed an entire shipping crate full of these beauties. We’re not exactly sure how many we will receive until we unpack the crate…70, 80, 90…? We know we will have over 100 bare root Dens available for you following Tom’s talk. That is why we are offering GREAT DEALS ON BARE ROOT DENS! Single plants are just $15 but we will also sell 4 orchids for $50 and 9 for $100!!! Beautiful orchids (some in bloom) for $11? THAT’S CRAZY!
We will also have potted Blooming, Dendrobium, Cattleya and Brassavola hybrids for $25. CRAZY! Beautiful, healthy Vandas and mounted orchids will also be available at our October Orchid Event.
