Well, folks, we might have goofed up this week. Good Friday snuck up on us, and as it turns out, FedEx called it a holiday—so our two orchid shipments will likely arrive next week. Total bummer, right?
What’s on the WayDespite the hiccup, we’ve got 120 pounds of orchid goodness en route. Our weekly auto‑shipment vendor will still send a grower’s‑choice surprise of 36 blooming orchids and 36 “bargain” orchids. These bargain beauties usually go for just $15—and lately, they’ve included gems like Sharry Baby and Heaven Scent Oncidiums, Vandas, gorgeous Cattleyas, and rare species. Keep your eyes peeled; you never know what hidden treasure you’ll find!
Our other vendor’s shipment is packed with bare‑root treasures, too:
50 Victorian Jazz Dendrobiums (bare root) — $10 each while they’re small; pot them in 3″ pots and watch them grow to bloom!
20 Epi. Pacific Stars (bare root) — size TBD, but trust me, you’ll love their blooms.
Plus a variety of potted and blooming Dendrobiums, and more bare‑root Den surprises.
Plan Ahead for Mother’s Day Easter’s late this year, and Mother’s Day is only three weeks later—so now’s the perfect time to start thinking about gift‑worthy orchids or planters.
Still Plenty to Enjoy Even if those shipments are delayed, our greenhouse is bursting with beauty:
Paphs unfurling their first blooms
Adorable miniatures for quick smiles
3 Vandacious orchids at $25 each
Gram. scriptum Citrines spiking soon—$40 value price
2 Phrags left, one with a longifolium parent (and Win’s Mont Falu is still blooming strong with 3 flowers and a 4th on the way!)
Plus, two of my favorite Catasetums showing both male and female flowers on one spike
Stay tuned for photos of Mont Falu and my Catasetums—because who doesn’t love a good orchid flex? 😉
Happy Orchiding,
Tom & Win
