Our CRAZY CATASETUM Orchid Event March 13, 2025 8:30a -12:15p

EZ Greens Orchids will host it's first special educational event. At EZ Greens Orchids we are CRAZY about Catasetums and we want to share our love for this orchid genus with our orchid friends. We'll host our event in the Oxmill Tent at The Landing on Cane Bay. Our Thursday morning event will start off with some light refreshments supplied by Win and The Landing Beach Bar. We'll have coffee, tea, bush tea and more along with Win's famous beignets. Next, Tom will present an educational program about Catasetum orchids. You'll learn about their native origins, their unusual growth habits, their cultural needs and how to grow and flower them successfully here on St. Croix. After Tom's talk, every participant will be presented with 3 Catasetums and all the materials necessary to repot the orchids into 4" terra cotta pots for their active growth and flowering phase. This repotting workshop will be a hands-on experience that will serve to help you become comfortable maintaining, growing and blooming these unique orchids. We will be there to help you out, answer your questions and make sure that your new orchids are ready to grow, thrive and bloom throughout the summer and fall.

Following the repotting workshop, we'll wrap up with another educational talk about Catasetums and call it a day. Every event participant will also receive at $25 gift card to The Landing Beach Bar. You're welcome to use your gift card for lunch following the workshop or save it for use at a future time. We are limiting this event to just 50 participants and tickets are $100.
